[glob2-devel] Fwd: font modification

Darn, I tried to send this 2 days ago, but mistyped
the email address.

I have been trying to add Japanese characters to
sans.ttf as a first step to a new translation. I have
not had much luck.
 
I used fontforge to merge ipagui.ttf from ja-ipafonts
with sans.ttf. I also tried copy and paste of the CJK
unified section. Then I back up sans.ttf and make
sans.ttf a link to the newly created font.

Both ways I get:

I also tried just linking sans.ttf to the japanese
font above. In that csae, glob2 starts, but crashes on
the first "inn is finished". Also the language
selection box in the settings screen just shows
garbage.

Any idea what I have done wrong, or should try next?
