I've written up a page about how to make good bug reports:
http://www.globulation2.org/wiki/Bug_Reports
I would really like to shrink the technical part of this page (OS,
autosave game, etc.) down into "zip ~/.glob2/logs and send it".
Therefore, how about we make the following changes:
* Whatever information we can get about the current OS should be printed
in `glob2 -version`.
* on start-up, the text that would otherwise be printed in `glob2
-version` should be saved as ~/.glob2/logs/version.log
* When an autosave game is created, it should be copied to ~/.glob2/logs
I think I can do the first two myself, but I don't know enough about the
autosave system to do the others.
As for the bug mentioned above, Leo and I reported it as bug #15206, but
didn't respond to Stephane's follow-up, so I guess this is partly my
fault. It's been widely reported as a problem between the released
versions of 0.8.17 on different OSes, but I'll double-check the version
information before confirming it on Savannah.
