You are not able to link to gtk2 library. Found that api in gtk/gtk.h

address@hidden ~]$ readelf -s /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so | grep
gtk_widget_get_allocation
  2476: 000000344dc76e60   129 FUNC    GLOBAL DEFAULT   11
gtk_widget_get_allocation
