Hello Gaius,

I used the latest tarball gcc+gm2 dated october 18th.

Cygwin32 and Debian testing build without problems, also the compiler and libraries seem to be installed correctly (just looked into the relevant directories, the files are there).

Interesting results from running the tests (cygwin):

                === gm2 Summary ===
# of expected passes            7351
# of unexpected failures        1561
# of unresolved testcases       246

compared to the last tarball provided:
               === gm2 Summary ===

# of expected passes            8372
# of unexpected failures        540
# of unresolved testcases       246
Regards

Christoph

Hi John and Christoph,

thanks for the reports - I wonder if you are using cvs updated copies of
gm2 or the tarball from floppsie.comp.glam.ac.uk ? If you are using the
cvs update, remember to update both the

gcc-4.7.3/libgm2
gcc-4.7.3/gcc/gm2

directories.

If in doubt you might want to try downloading a full tarball graft
from floppsie.comp.glam.ac.uk. It would be interesting to see if the
tarball does install the libraries. I think it should, but would value
a test report from your machines.

With the gcc-4.7 branch the library build/install occurs from within
build-4.7.3/libgm2, inline with other languages (java, ada, fortran
etc). The main reason for this change (other than in keeping with the
house style) is to ensure that there is complete separation between the
native compiler and target compiler.

regards,
Gaius
