Follow-up Comment #13, bug #31836 (project gnash):

Adobe runs in-process. It seems that it has some unsophisticated logic for
deciding when to capture scroll events.

It is worth noting that when we change the plugin to be in-process (which is
planned), the strategy mentioned in the mozilla bug tracker will be trivial to
implement.
