I'm currently installing the libraries in $prefix/lib/gnash. While I like this, it may not be such a good idea. For people to run the gnash executable or the plugin, they need to add this new directory to either LD_LIBRARY_PATH, or /etc/ld.so.conf. I'm currently updating the doc to explain this, but I thought I'd ask on this list what people think. It'd be much easier for people to install Gnash if all the libraries just went in $prefix/lib (ie, /usr/local/lib or /usr/lib). I'm not hung up on the current behavior, so I'm debating just making it easier for folks to install.
