Is there anything we did wrong when compiling it (e.g. do we have to turn off debugging somewhere to get a decent speed?), or is there some feature in the graphics driver gnash relies on that r300 can't provide, or is this a normal thing?
Well, I run Gnash on systems that can't handle TuxRacer, so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. There shouldn't be any special options needed for OpenGL, it's all hardwired for now. Could you somehow be getting the wrong opengl library at link time ? I know if you build Mesa standalone and install it, it doesn't support DRI for that application. I made this mistake last week... So I'd make sure it's getting the system libGL.so, and not the non-DRI enabled one.
