gnokii win32: cannot connect to nokia 6230i

I have gnokii-0.6.10 win32 and a nokia 6230i, widcomm usb-software.

All attempts to connect fail. However i can send commands / retrieve data with 
a terminal program (see below). Are there some special settings needed?
