Hi,

The time has come for the next gnokii release. I hope to announce it
next week. In the meantime please test the following functionality
that is included currently in git:
 - fixed SMS encodings - now everything should be properly encoded and
splitted (with multipart messages) if you have libiconv installed
 - fixed calendar writing for all Series 40 phones

There are some known remaining issues but they are not blocking the
release. Any translations updates are welcome -- we'll be removing
translations that were not updated for a long time (for sure if they
didn't have an update in 0.6.x series).

take care,

Hello,

Thanks for the info.

Can you please explain if AT commands and Fbus protocol are same.

Now, I would like some help on a similar project.

I want to interface a micro controller (e.g. PIC) to a mobile phone (any
model that accepts AT commands e.g. NOKIA).

The micro controller stores the appropriate AT command that it sends to the
mobile phone on receiving the appropriate input (say from a switch), the
micro controller send the AT command corresponding to initiating a phone
call. This way the phone can be used to call another phone.
How exactly can I go about this?

Awaiting any response.

Thanks
