Hum another bugs :( #271039: gnomoradio: hangs when selecting directory with my music. title says it all: when I start gnomoradio, I am welcomed by a nice wizard, which hangs. I click "next" then I see a dialog with "song Path". so I click "remove" then "add". A dialog opens in which I am supposed to find directory with my music. So I find it, and click OK. after clicking OK the program hangs. And I have to press ctrl-C in the terminal from which it was ran, or kill it. the bug occurs everytime. so it is more than reproductible. It happens on my machine, and on my wife's machine too.
I've noticed (with 0.14 under Debian) that when adding large directories, one of two things happens:
1. It takes a really long time to inex all files, but gnomoradio does come back after some minutes.
2. Gnomoradio segfaults. In your case, since you've had to close gnomoradio, my guess is that it's unresponsive but still busy.
I seem to be able to add one large directory, but it consistently segfaults when reaching 100% CPU when I add another. Shame, because I really like the idea and the clean simple look of gnomoradio. I need to have all my music at my disposal though ;). Maybe in a next version. Oh, and to make this an appropriate message for the dev-list:
Has anyone thought about writing an Audioscrobbler (www.audioscrobbler.com) plugin for gnomoradio? I'd be willing to help there, but I'm not sure I have the expertise and the time to start/lead such a project.
