I mostly agree, but I'd really like to get 1.1 finally done so it can be
more widely used.  Once 1.1 is out people won't have to worry about the
command-line syntax changing constantly, etc.  At least presumably.

I'd say it's fairly successful by most any metric; but it could be a lot
*more* successful than it is now :)

I would be willing to help out somewhat here.  What would you think
about using tla-pqm?  Then you could give selected people commit
privileges.  And then other people could send changesets to those
lieutenants.

While we're starting out, I think it would make sense to ask those with
commit privileges to only commit in "their area", and perhaps just
obvious bugfixes.  For example, my area would mainly be the testsuite.
I would commit my changes to that, and also simple bugfixes like
patch-46 in my archive.  I definitely wouldn't commit stuff my tagging
changes work without your approval.

So in other words - let some of us take off the burden of the daily
bugfixes and things, and see how that goes.  I'd be happy to help set up
tla-pqm on your server, or I could possibly lend the services of
verbum.org for this purpose.
