[Gnu-arch-users] really, really slow commit / mirror with webdav

I recently decided I should check in some of my gimp work, so I made a new archive and imported it...no problem.

Except it took nearly three hours to commit (WebDAV). I thought that might have had something to do with PUT inefficiencies or something, so I just let it run and then did an archive mirror (back to the local disk...I like my master on a machine that's on all the time).

This is the result of the archive-mirror:

dustinti:~/Desktop/images/gimps 509% tla archive-mirror -s address@hidden * mirroring address@hidden to address@hidden with limit (null)
** adding category misc
** adding branch misc--images
** adding version misc--images--1.0
** adding revision misc--images--1.0--base-0
Importing various images I've made in gimp.
25.750u 23.580s 2:52:55.27 0.4% 0+0k 73+799io 0pf+0w

To test the components, I scp'd the patch to that system with the following timing:

13.580u 5.620s 1:09.05 27.8% 0+0k 197+2io 0pf+0w

...then I used curl to pull it back from the same area (same GET operation):

dustinti:/tmp 513% curl -u dustin -O http://rubik/arch/misc--images--1.0--base-0.src.tar.gz

1.060u 8.340s 0:28.20 33.3% 0+0k 0+17io 0pf+0w

Any reason arch should take 3 hours to do what curl does in 28 seconds?
