I second the idea of using a greedy sparse revlib that Matthieu suggested. But the quick solution is just: cd project-dir rm -rf {arch}/++pristine-treesPristine trees can always be deleted. They will be rebuilt when needed. They require another archive access, and can be slow, which is why tla caches them. A greedy spares revision library will grab the pristines instead. So put them on a non NFS partition (like /tmp) and they will bother you less.
