w32 problems...

First of all, thanks to Mats for fixing up my first pass at movement I of
Sonata Una Quasi Fantasia--now if only I could get a recent version (>
1.3.88) of lily to work with Cygwin...

I tried the latest (1.3.97) Cygwin version:

C:\lilypond\Music>ly2dvi -P american-chords
ly2dvi (GNU LilyPond) 1.3.97
executing: ash -c "lilypond american-chords 2>&1"
lstat(/cygdrive) failed ...
/cygdrive: No such file or directory
GNU LilyPond 1.3.97.
Now processing: `american-chords.ly'

ly2dvi Hmm, I could not find an output file name

It acts first like it can't find cmr10, and then acts like it doesn't have
permission to run mktextfm, even though the permissions are OK:

Ok, while this is all well and good I figured I'd try and compile it once
again (am I a masochist, or what?) on Cygwin, but no dice:

Guile is in /bin, along with guile-config et. al:

Is there anyone out there who has *successfully* gotten lily to compile on a
cygwin system installed on a *WINDOWS* machine? If so, what steps did you
take to get it working?

I've got a massive headache, so I'm going to shut up now.
