It is helpful if anyone submitting a patch drafts a line,
or several if appropriate, for inclusion in ChangeLog. These
lines can go in the patch comments.

as an example. The 3 lines:
- somewhere() revised
- new autohelper functions [ox]_alive_somewhere
- autohelper functions [ox]_somewhere revised
found near the end of the patch comments are for ChangeLog.
You don't need to explain in too much detail what the patch
does. Sometimes just:
- bugfix in [function name here]
or
- owl tuning
is sufficient. This is helpful to the maintainer who adds the
patch to the CVS.
If the patch adds new functions it is good to name these.
