I think GNU Go shouldn't play the first jump to start with. See

I see the alternatives are not covered in Ishida. I hope to get around
to entering the variations some time. Otherwise probably anyone could do
it with kombilo and a sufficiently big professional game collection, the
variations are pretty frequent in recent years.
