nice.

has anyone out there who may be reading this, at any point, tried
making scripting language bindings (ie with SWIG) to the codebase? it
seems that would be handy and fun for tinkering with stuff and tuning
things. like maybe starting two daemons and having them talk to each
other and be able to turn features on and off in real-time? is it just
my imagination, or is that a good idea?
