Maybe your local db was somehow too old ?

Other than that you could have had selected a template in
your local DB during an earlier run. That choice is
remembered and not asked again. So you may actually have
gotten *beyond* being asked for the template (but not
further, just like before).

One can, of course, alter the choice via the configuration
menus.
