cgps should run just fine on Openwrt, but if it is easier, just run
cgps on a remote host.

3.10 is old, you need to run 3.15 for us to help you much.

How long did you wait? Autobaud can take a long time.
Given the 16X is old, you will need to have it outside with a good sky
view. Then wait 30 minutes to be sure you have a good almanac and
ephemeris.
