[GWhere-discussion] problems with special characters (umlaute)

hello!

i'm havin trouble with gwhere displaying special characters (german umlaute). 
names of any files containing these are not displayed at *all*, just the icon 
is displayed. It's not just the character missing, but the whole name, which is 
quite annoying. 

the strange thing is, the filenames are displayed correctly in the saved 
catalogue, and as well when exported to a .csv file. I don't know where to 
start looking for a solution, since i'm not havin trouble with special 
characters in other places.
