Hi Max and list,

Which version of GWhere do you use ? Sources, RPM, win32 ?

Only, the build for GTK+ 2.x runs well with special characters. At time, only the win32 version is build for this version of GTK+. The other way, is the recompile GWhere from sources (with the --enable-gtk20 option).

Zero

hello!

i'm havin trouble with gwhere displaying special characters (german umlaute). names of any files containing these are not displayed at *all*, just the icon is displayed. It's not just the character missing, but the whole name, which is quite annoying. the strange thing is, the filenames are displayed correctly in the saved catalogue, and as well when exported to a .csv file. I don't know where to start looking for a solution, since i'm not havin trouble with special characters in other places.

regards,

max
