Actually the -ly and -ll options are NOT required in Read hat Linux
V7.2.
You can try to compile your code without these two options if you use
the most recent versions of LINUX.

I'm trying to learn Flex and Bison. i have a book om Lex and YACC and
the problem arrises when i want to compile my files.
The book says that i have to compile with the foloing line:
cc -o [output] y.tab.c -ly -ll
lex.yy.c is included in the y.tab.c.
Yhe problem is the parameter: -ll and -ly
I have found out that -ll is caled -lfl vith the gcc compiler but wat is
the -yl parameter called ??????
