I guess I shouldn't be writing emails this late...

Anyway, afterthought is that cfd only needs to be configured on the clients
if you need to "tickle" cfengine to run at any given point.  cfd DOES
however need to be running on your "trusted server" that you mean to have
the clients download their configurations from if you mean to update it in
that way.
