Hi Jeroen,
the AC_HEADERS message you get is from autoheader being run, and
shouldn't fail anything. I get the same message but aclocal,
autoconf, and automake all build the correct files so it
shouldn't matter. You might try doing
#define DEBUGGING 1
in src/include/debugging.h to get some more verbose (and possibly
helpful debugging information). Have you tried checking the
latest version out of cvs? There have been a lot of changes
recently that may affect the cpu usage that you're seeing.
