It's just that from the point of view of Octave, all those things don't 
matter. This list can answer:

- how to install Octave on a computer
- how to run Octave: how to give it data and how to retrieve results.

None of this depends on whether the computer is under your desk or 
across the network, or is a virtual machine somewhere.
