Feature request or error?

Hi all,

 

    I stumble in a unexpected feature/error while setting a cvsweb web interface for CVS repository that uses the rlog for a version description of each file. The command "rlog -r filename" just aborted with a 'missing author'. After a few tries I verified that the problem was that the author name was a full digit string which is a constraint for the problem. After I changed the username for a letter start username everythong worked fine.

 

    Is this problem an error on parsing the file or just a feature to avoid the use of numeric usernames?
