locking a file |

Hi all,
I would need help from u all .....
The scenario goes like this...
When I try to lock a file from WinCVS, it says (let me say iam user sandhya)
cvs admin -l AddProject.html (in directory D:\tempi\Bug\html\)
cvs [server aborted]: usage is restricted to members of the group cvsadmin
When I add my user name to the cvsadmin group, the problem is solved. But I
would not like me to be
in the admin group.... That is to say, users out of the admin group shud be
given access to lock a
file.....
I tried changing permissions to CVSROOT directory in the repository... but no
use... Locking doesnt
seem to be dependent on CVSROOT directory......
Can anyone please help regarding this .....???
Thanx
Sandhya
