units 1.77 (beta release)

GNU units version 1.77, a beta release, is now available for testing from

   http://www.cam.cornell.edu/~adrian/units.html

This version features:

A completely rewritten parser which supports
  grouping with parenthesis
  noninteger power of numbers
  functions (log, ln, log2, trig functions, exp)
  roots of units
Nonlinear units conversions such as the oft requested Fahrenheit to
  Celsius are supported in an extensible fashion

Help is requested to identify and fix portability problems and bugs.
