No there is no constraint on it being antlr. It just has to be something
sensible that produces java code that is reasonably efficient.

There are also other project ideas on

If you want to apply for a project then I would like to see a patch
submitted against the current GNU Prolog for Java code, there might be
something on https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=gnuprologjava which
you think looks suitable or you could improve the tests or find
something else you want to make better.
