The servers mentioned in the variable gnus-secondary-select-methods
are secondary, all others are not. You can see the server name from
the group name.

(The real story is complicated, since gnus-secondary-select-methods
can either contain server specifications, which specify the backend to
use and all parameters, or just server names, which are pointers to
"foreign" servers. And then, each group has its associated server,
which can bei either a complete server specification (with backend and
parametes and all), or just a server name. This means you can create
a server by mentioning it as the server for a group. You can edit the
server for a group by hitting G e, I think. But these cases are the
more complex ones, usually a group is associated with a server name
and the corresponding server is specified in
gnus-secondary-select-methods, if it is a secondary server.)

You can type ^ from the *Group* buffer to see a list of servers, you
can hit RET on a server to see a list of its groups.
