There is a lot of stuff you can test:
mount the hfs+ partitions you have and copy some files (fails in my pmac)
check the appropriate modules runs well for your hardware.
check the network connection.
check keyboard settings (if not english)
check the loop-aes mounting of your encrypted partition (if you have one).
...

In fact it's depends on what you know about linux in console ;-)

For now i can see:
your framebuufer works (radeon?)
The squashfs systems works (we had problems in G5).

I am preparing a new iso with Xfree, and autoconfiguration for 
XF86Config-4. This test will be more interesting.
