Ok. I'll try that.

But I have a question. Do you have HAVE_ICONV defined in config.h when 
launching 'autogen.sh' ?

If iconv.m4 is wrong, you should also have HAVE_ICONV undefined.

Otherwise, there seems to be a problem in other place.
