[libmicrohttpd] Running on Windows

Hello. I have two Windows-related questions.

First, I'm seeing performance on Windows that's roughly 1/10th of what
I'm seeing on Mac and Linux. On Windows I'm using the 0.4.0a binaries;
on Mac I'm using 0.4.2 from Mac Ports and on Linux I'm using the 0.4.2
tarball and I'm compiling myself. I'm using ab (Apache Bench) for the
timing. On Windows I get < 200 RPS; on Mac & Linux I get > 2,000 RPS.
Does that make any sense? Has anyone else seen anything like that,
etc? I can look into it further; I just want to spend time going over
well-trodden ground.

Oh: I've tried both the internal select and the per-thread models.
Internal select is always faster (my app doesn't block, at least not
in this test case) but the difference between the two models is minor
compared to the difference between the platforms.

Second, is there any chance that new(er) Windows binaries will be
posted? From the mailing archives it looks like it takes a while to
get all of the pieces together on MinGW.

Thanks,
Michael.
