That's not possible at the moment. I'll have a think, but maybe you
could try to implement something (or persuade Jan to do it) while I am
taking my holidays.

You could add a music-property #'grob-property-overrides.
Engraver::anounce_grob could inspect the grob-property-overrides from
its cause argument and copy the values.

Incidentally, I believe missed the bugreport for the problem you were
working around.
