I should note that I haven't tested this *with* GUB; I just succeeded
doing a standalone compile with --target=i686-apple-darwin8.  I also
mistakenly removed the release note changes from the patch (with the
intent of reducing its size), but apparently this version supports OSX
10.5 and a 64-bit build environment.  I'm not sure if the 64-bit stuff
is working for people yet though.
