I'd go for the first one too (though I like the end so much...)
because of the lyrics: you can't extract the last measures without
cutting into words: `soucy' becomes `-cy', `saison' becomes `-son',
etc.
(PS If the showFirstLength feature gets merged, we could leave the
whole code and print only the beginning ;-)
