If you use the .gdbinit file in the Contributor's Guide, it's easy to
set breakpoints in the code and look at the properties of grobs.

You can display any SCM object via ly_display_scm () (which is what
the .gdbinit file uses for the gdb macros).

Thanks again, that wokrs at least for some displaying, buit still i need that handy conversion from this type of scheme list into something i can deal with with c.
