Hm. There's something to it, but i'm not sure if it should be
enforced strictly.

No, in my opinion this would only increase confusion about the
LilyPond spelling.

yup, good point.
Bottom line: some of the music funtions' names could use some
verbifying, but that won't solve a "is that postfix or prefix?"
problem in my opinion.
