I have plain RH7.3 here (emacs-21.2-2), and it works out of the box;
If I run emacs, and do

  emacsclient --no-wait +6:5 CHANGES 

it jumps to the right spot. If it does not at your side you must have
an outdated server.el or emacsclient lying around.
