Hi everybody,

if I use \stemBoth for two voices on the same staff (\voiceOne, \voiceTwo), stem direction is determined by pitch only and results in many clashes.

Can \stemBoth be somehow extended, so that if there are two voices on staff, the higher one (\voiceOne here) gets (automatically) stems up and the other one (\voiceTwo) stems down?

For one voice on staff (meaning that the other voice has skips or has been translated to other staff or simply does not exist) \stemBoth behaves "correctly".

This would be very useful IMHO; it is that way I have seen all 3-voice pieces fugues for piano/organ typeset.

Thanks, Vaclav
