Hi Han-Wen,
Thanks for your help.

I've downloaded guile-1.6.7 from the SUSE 9.3 source tree (I'm running SuSE
9.2, but I hope that's OK). I've installed a number of new packages to
resolve dependencies, but I'm left with failed build dependency on klogd,
even though klogd is running on my system:
# rpmbuild --rebuild guile-1.6.7-3.src.rpm
Installing guile-1.6.7-3.src.rpm
error: Failed build dependencies:
klogd is needed by guile-1.6.7-3
# klogd -v
klogd 1.4.1
# ps -ef | grep klogd
root 4528 1 0 09:20 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/klogd -c 1 -2 -x
I have also posted a message to address@hidden asking for help to resolve
this, as this seems no longer to be a lilypond issue.
ISTR reading somewhere that guile-1.6.7 may be included in a lilypond-1.7.x
package. Would this be an alternative path to resolving my problem?
Matt.
