OK, time to introduce you to the way LilyPond is developed!
http://git.sv.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=lilypond.git;a=summary
On this website, you can follow all changes that are being made by
developers and contributors, day after day, to the source code (every
time someone changes something in the source code, this is called a
"commit"; you can click on any "commit-diff" link to see what has been
changed by whom).
It's a bit like a Wiki, but much more complicated :-)
If you click on "tree", you can see how the source code is organized
in folders, sub-folders etc. The Documentation lies in
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=lilypond.git;a=tree;f=Documentation/user
In this folder, you can see several .itely files: that's the source
code for the documentation pages. For instance, you can click on
"percussion.itely" to see the file that is used to generate the pages
about percussions in Lily. You can even download this source files by
clicking on "raw".
This is in case you'd be interested in actually seeing what the "real"
stuff looks like. But don't be afraid if this looks too complex;
Graham and the rest of us will help you to work at a much simpler
level.
Cheers,
Valentin
