Actually, i think this one is still acceptable. But if the rhythm was
more complex, it'd be bad indeed.

I support this idea.
I don't know of any way of doing this automatically now, but something
similar is available for splitting notes that cross a barline (look
for "completion_heads_engraver"). I think it would be possible to
expand it so that it does what you say.
