System start delimiter in middle of system; new score without breaking line

Dear LilyPond users,

Is there anything new?

I mean:
1. is it possible to print the system start delimiter in the middle of a system?
2. is it possible to start a new score on the same line of the last
system of a previous score?

I didn't find anything in the manuals or in the LSR, but maybe I
didn't look for the right things.
