I'd rather stick to the convention used by font-size and other
friends, where 0 means "no change".
I've tried to write a function that would do this, but wasn't able to
come up with anything in 20 minutes (and i really don't have more time
to spare).  But i'm sure that for someone more familiar with scheme
functions (Harm, Davids?) it could be done; David N's generalized
offsetter could be used as a starting point.
