Nick has it right. Here's a customized snippet I took from the NR that looks like what you are wanting (works with slurs, too, as shown here):

\repeat volta 2 { c4 d e f ( }
\alternative {
{ f2 ) d\laissezVibrer }
{ f2\repeatTie f, }
}
That should at least give you a place to start.

Knute,Have you tried using laissez vibrer and repeat ties? You might have to alter the X-extent, but they should be able to accomplish the same effect.HTHNick
