Well, right, that is my point. Accidental notes are notes that aren’t in the current key (signature). These are different distinctions: 1. sharp/flat notes & natural notes 2. notes not in the key (accidental notes) & notes in the key (???) I don’t know that there's any term that’s the complement to “accidental notes” (besides writing out “notes in the key”). -Paul |
