Hi there, A little clarification about the H.264 license. You can use H.264 on the Raspberry Pi without a license only if you are using the OpenMAX hardware decoder/encoder. I started writing a mediastreamer2 plugin for this some time ago but never had the time to finish it. You can use openh264 without getting a license if you download the binary from Cisco. But Cisco does not provide a library for Raspberry Pi. So that means that until a mediastreamer2 plugin handles the OpenMAX hardware decoder/encoder, you can not use (or at least should not use to respect the law) H.264 on the Raspberry Pi unless you get a license for it from MPEG LA.
