Oops, the version information was crucial. There were missing functions
from the JavaScript API in Totem. They were patched [1] [2] and it
should work with versions after 2.30. 

Sorry, there is nothing that could be done for this version of Totem.
You could set "controls" to plugin and Linterna Magica will show the
plugin controls in windowed mode.
