        A very impressive TOC :-). Only thing i found missing was the
part about uncompressing the kernel (arch/i386/boot/compressed/head.S).
Also the difference between a bzImage and a zImage, where they are
loaded and the juggling that takes place needs to be mentioned... I think
u've made a section for this.. (didn't check).

        I'll create a cvs module for this and give u access to it as
soon as u write this toc using LaTeX and finish the first chapter.
Prolly the first chapter will be covering the loading of the kernel from
the floppy, initial state of memory/registers..., till the code in
bootsect.S [ljmp    $SETUPSEG, $0] which transfers control to the code
in setup.S . Basically all the code in bootsect.S has to be covered in
this chapter. If u get any doubts, u can clear them in the channel or
on this list itself. Best of Luck.
